H.I.S. Co., Ltd. has announced that its founder Hideo Sawada, Director and Senior Executive Advisor, will resign from the position of director.
A proposal for the election of 8 directors and 3 Audit & Supervisory Board Members will be presented at the upcoming shareholders meeting scheduled for January 25, 2024.
Mr. Hideo Sawada, born in 1951, founded a travel company, International Tours, in 1980, which was later renamed H.I.S. in 1990. The company was listed on the over-the-counter market in 1995, on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Second Section in 2002, and on the First Section in 2004. Sawada expanded his business ambitiously by making companies such as Kyushu Sanko Transport, Huis Ten Bosch, Europe Express, Japan Holiday Travel, and Asia Atlantic Airlines into subsidiaries, investing, and establishing new ventures.
