Qantas Airways has taken delivery of its first Airbus A220-300 aircraft in Mirabel, Canada.
Qantas Airways has ordered a total of 29 Airbus A220 aircraft, which will replace the Boeing 717 aircraft currently operated by QantasLink on domestic regional routes within Australia. The configuration includes 10 Business Class seats and 127 Economy Class seats, totaling 137 seats, featuring a livery inspired by Aboriginal artwork.
The delivery flight will depart from Mirabel and travel via Vancouver, Honolulu, and Nadi, before arriving in Sydney.
Approximately 850 Airbus A220 aircraft have been ordered by 30 operators, with over 300 of these already in service with 20 operators.
