JR East Launches ‘JR SKISKI’ 2023-2024 Campaign Featuring Hiyo Sakurada
JR East has kicked off the ‘JR SKISKI’ 2023-2024 campaign, which will run until March 31, 2024.
The campaign’s catchphrase is ‘Push me forward, snow.’ Actress Hiyo Sakurada has been chosen as the campaign’s heroine. In January 2024, a new television commercial featuring Sakurada and a song written by the tie-up artist ‘iri’ will be released. Poster visuals will be displayed at major JR East stations and on the brand’s website in sequence.
The campaign website introduces discounted tickets to various ski resorts, travel products, and limited-time campaigns. The travel package, which includes a one-day gondola and lift ticket for GALA Yuzawa Ski Resort and a round-trip ticket between Tokyo and GALA Yuzawa Station on the Shinkansen in ordinary cars, is available from 10,100 yen per adult.
Additionally, the ‘Anywhere Viewーn!’ campaign with JRE POINT, which allows for travel to any Shinkansen station, will feature a special ‘JR SKISKI’s Anywhere Viewーn!’ plan limited to the nearest stations of 17 ski resorts. The booking period is from December 13, 2023, to March 10, 2024, with the travel period being from December 19, 2023, to March 31, 2024.
As part of the ‘Travel on Weekdays’ campaign, a 5% discount will be applied to weekday day-trip ski products for bookings made by groups of two or more. Booking is available from December 13, 2023, to February 29, 2024, with the offer valid for weekdays between January 9, 2024, and February 29, 2024.
Furthermore, among users of the ‘JR East Dynamic Rail Pack (with lift ticket plan)’ for travel to the participating ski resorts, there will be a lottery for prizes such as accommodation vouchers and lift tickets. Exclusive deals such as ‘ekinet Tokudane (with ticket)’ and ‘Osaki ni Tokudane (with ticket)’ will be available for Shinkansen e-ticket services from GALA Yuzawa Station.
‘JR SKISKI’ is a snow leisure campaign that JR East has been running since 1991. Each year, the campaign features an up-and-coming actor as the main character and releases extensive advertisements along with the tie-up song.
