The Chiba Labour Bureau has revealed that First Resort, the company operating Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel First Resort, fraudulently received employment adjustment subsidies.
Despite insufficient attendance management, the company created false application documents claiming business suspension and illegitimately received subsidies. The amount of fraudulently received funds is 737,984,207 yen, and a repayment plan is currently being formulated.
Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel First Resort opened in 1986 as Sunroute Plaza Tokyo, an official hotel of Tokyo Disney Resort, and was rebranded in 2019.
