Airtrip has incorporated Best Reserve as its subsidiary.
Best Reserve operates the hotel booking site ‘Best Reserve & Yado Plaza’. The site has contracts with approximately 7,200 lodging facilities, including joint contracts with Japan Travel. The service boasts about 1.8 million members.
Best Reserve was established in April 2000 by operating members who spun out when Travel Window (now Rakuten Travel) separated from Hitachi Zosen Information Systems. After becoming a subsidiary through a stock exchange with Livedoor Holdings in February 2005, in December 2007 e-machi Town acquired shares for about JPY 670 million, and in May 2012, Sharely purchased shares for about JPY 70 million. Sharely became part of the Rakuten Group in September 2012 and changed its name to Rakuten Coupon in November 2013. Rakuten Coupon was sold to EPARK in October 2017, with the latter opening ‘EPARK Travel’.
