Iyotetsu Bus and Tosaden Kotsu have announced the launch of a new ‘Limited Express’ service on the Matsuyama-Kochi line (Whale Express).
The service will operate non-stop on expressways, reducing the travel time between Matsuyama and Kochi cities to a minimum of 2 hours and 10 minutes, which is a 5-minute reduction. The number of daily round trips will be 6 out of a total of 10.
The bus stops will include JR Matsuyama Station, Ohkaido, Matsuyama City Station, Matsuyama Inter, Matsuyama Airport, Kochi Ichinomiya Bus Terminal, Harimayabashi, and Kochi Station. Matsuyama Airport will only be served on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Reservations start on January 1, 2024, and the service will commence on February 1 of the same year.
