Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Industrial and Labor Affairs Issues Administrative Actions Against Four Travel Agencies
On December 14th, the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Industrial and Labor Affairs announced administrative actions against four travel agencies—Amega Japan, Crane International, Keio Travel, and Japan Recreation Center—pursuant to Article 65, Paragraph 1 of the Travel Agency Act.
Keio Travel was sanctioned for conducting passenger transportation outside its authorized region, while the other three companies were penalized for violating the Travel Agency Act by arranging bus services at fares below the minimum rates.
All companies were subject to a business suspension order for nine days, from December 22nd to 30th, in accordance with Article 19, Paragraph 1, or Article 37, Paragraph 1, of the Travel Agency Act.
