East Nippon Expressway Company Limited (NEXCO East Japan) will implement nighttime closures and ramp shutdowns on the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line from the Kawasaki Ukishima Junction (JCT) to the Kisarazu Kaneda Interchange (IC).
This is part of a traffic congestion mitigation project, which involves changes to the lane layouts, pavement repairs, and road surface marking works. After completion, the method of merging at Kawasaki Ukishima JCT will be changed.
The closures between Kawasaki Ukishima JCT and Kisarazu Kaneda IC on the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line will take place from January 29, 2024, at 11:00 PM to January 30 at 5:00 AM. The reserve dates are from January 30 to February 1 during the same hours. Additionally, the Umihotaru Parking Area (PA) will be closed from 9:00 PM on the same day to 5:00 AM the following day.
For the section connecting the Kawasaki Line of the Metropolitan Expressway (upward) and the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line (downward), closures will be implemented from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM every day from February 5 to February 7, 2024. The alternate dates are February 8, 13, and 14 during the same hours.
