West Japan JR Bus has launched a ‘Graduation Trip Support Project,’ offering two types of discounts.
They have set up seats that can accommodate a group of four students in the four-seat row sections. This offer applies to routes such as the ‘Awa Express Osaka’ between Osaka and Tokushima, the ‘Meishin Highway Bus Osaka’ between Osaka and Nagoya, the ‘Hokuriku Road Youth Day Express Osaka’ between Universal Studios Japan (USJ), Osaka, Kyoto and Kanazawa, and the ‘Youth Eco Dream’ between Sannomiya, Osaka and Tokyo Disney Resort (TDL), Tokyo Station. The promotion is available from February 6 to March 21, 2024, excluding Tuesdays to Thursdays, public holidays and the day before holidays. The price is approximately that of three student discount fares.
Additionally, there is a ‘New Life Support Discount,’ which offers a maximum reduction of 750 yen off the student fare. Eligible routes include the ‘Hokuriku Road Youth Day Express,’ the ‘Youth Hokuriku Dream Osaka,’ and the ‘Hyakumangoku Dream Osaka’ between Osaka and Kanazawa, the ‘Awa Express Osaka’ on the Osaka to Tokushima line, the ‘Awa Express Kobe’ between Shin-Kobe, Sannomiya and Tokushima, the ‘Kochi Express’ and ‘Keihan Shin Dream Kochi’ on the Osaka to Kochi route, and the ‘Matsuyama Express’ and ‘Keihan Shin Dream Matsuyama’ on the Osaka to Matsuyama line. This discount period is from February 1 to April 7, 2024.
Both offers are exclusively available for purchase through the Express Bus Net. The tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on the first of the month one month prior to the boarding date. A student ID must be presented at the time of boarding.
