JR East announces the resumption of services for the Joetsu Shinkansen between Echigo-Yuzawa and Niigata stations, which were suspended due to the Noto Peninsula earthquake on the 1st.
Downbound trains are expected to resume around 1:30 PM, and upbound trains around 2:30 PM. Times may vary depending on the situation.
Currently, the section operating between Tokyo and Echigo-Yuzawa station is running at about 70% of the normal number of trains.
