East Japan Railway Company (JR East) has announced plans to resume service for the Hokuriku Shinkansen line between Nagano and Toyama stations around 3 PM today. This follows a suspension of operations due to the effects of the earthquake that struck the Noto Peninsula on the 1st.
The service between Toyama and Kanazawa stations was resumed at 10:34 AM. Operations between Tokyo and Nagano stations are ongoing. Please note that the time for resuming service is subject to change.
Due to expected congestion at various stations, JR East is advising that passengers may not be able to board their desired train even if they arrive at the station. They recommend checking the status of the train operations and considering cancellation or changes to travel plans.
