JR East has resumed operations on the Joetsu Shinkansen between Echigo-Yuzawa and Niigata stations as of 2:38 PM following a suspension due to the earthquake that struck the Noto Peninsula on the 1st.
As a result, the Joetsu Shinkansen is now fully operational along its entire line.
JR East advises passengers to check train service updates and consider canceling or altering their travel plans due to the expected congestion at each station, which may result in the inability to board the desired trains.
