In response to the collision incident at Haneda Airport involving a JAL aircraft and a Japan Coast Guard aircraft, the JAL Group has announced special measures for flight tickets.
This applies to domestic and international flights with boarding dates up to March 31, and the procedures will be accepted until January 31. This includes flights operated jointly (code-share flights).
For domestic flights, changes or refunds are permitted without fees within 30 days from the date of boarding, and for international flights, changes to alternative flights or refunds can be made without fees until April 20. Except for changes to international flights, procedures can be done through the website.
For those who purchased tickets through travel agencies or other sources outside of JAL, it is advised to inquire with the place of purchase.
