JR West has announced that it expects to resume operations on the Himi Line, which had been suspended due to damage to the rail facilities caused by the Noto Peninsula earthquake, from the first train on the 6th.
For restoration work, the train services on the entire line between Takaoka and Himi Station will be suspended all day until the 5th.
JR West is accepting refunds and changes without a fee for tickets that are valid within the period from the 1st to the 5th of January, including tickets for JR West conventional lines, the Sanyo Shinkansen, and the Hokuriku Shinkansen that depart from, arrive at, or pass through these stations.
