JR West has announced that due to the Noto Peninsula earthquake, ticket refunds and validity period changes will be processed without any fees from January 6 to 11.
Tickets for JR West’s conventional lines and Shinkansen, originating from or passing through Fukui, Ishikawa, Toyama, and Niigata prefectures, are eligible for the fee-free refunds. Passengers must make the claim within one year of the ticket’s travel date and must present the ticket when requesting the refund.
For online reservations, procedures are provided on the top page after logging into Express Reservation, Smart EX, or e5489. For travel products purchased through travel agencies, customers should inquire directly with the agency.
