Mandarin Airlines has taken delivery of its first ATR72-600 aircraft equipped with the new Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127XT engines.
Mandarin Airlines, with its main hub at Taipei Songshan Airport, operates domestic routes, island routes, and routes to Asia and mainland China. The airline owns nine ATR72-600 aircraft, and at the 2023 Paris Air Show, it had ordered an additional six ATR72-600s.
The PW127XT engine promises a 20% reduction in maintenance costs and at least a 3% reduction in fuel consumption. For the delivery flight, fuel blended with 30% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) was used.
