Marriott Ambassador Members Earn PlusPoints with $4,000 United Airlines Spend
Marriott International has launched a promotion for Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite members, offering PlusPoints when they use United Airlines.
After linking Marriott Bonvoy and United MileagePlus accounts, from January 1 to March 31, members who spend and settle $4,000 on flights operated by United Airlines or United Express will be awarded 40 PlusPoints.
Taxes, fees imposed by parties other than the airline, such as the up to 7.5% federal transportation tax included in the base fare for domestic itineraries in the U.S., are not eligible for this offer. If the return flight falls outside the promotional period when using a round-trip ticket, only the outbound section will be eligible. It may take up to 21 business days for the PlusPoints to be reflected in the account, and the awarded PlusPoints will be valid until January 31, 2026.
PlusPoints can be used for upgrades awarded to MileagePlus Premier Platinum and Premier 1K members. On long-haul routes between Japan and North America, upgrading from Economy to Premium Plus requires 20 points, from Premium Plus to Business Class requires 30 points, from Economy to Polaris Business Class requires 40 points, and from discounted Economy fares to Polaris Business Class, 80 points are needed.
