Japan Airlines (JAL) and Sumitomo Realty & Development’s Villa Fontaine are set to offer themed collaboration rooms starting January 13 at the Hotel Villa Fontaine Premise/Grand Haneda Airport.
The collaboration rooms will number 24, matching the count of JAL’s international flight destinations from Haneda Airport. The rooms are Superior Twin types, decorated with a theme of ‘red×black×white’ inspired by JAL’s cabin color scheme. The walls are adorned with precious photographs from JAL’s archives, including the Douglas DC-6 airliner, which was used for JAL’s first regular international flights.
Corridors leading to the rooms will feature a design reminiscent of a runway, and hotel guests can also enjoy a panel exhibition looking back at JAL’s history. Collaborative room guests will receive various gifts, such as a tote bag, stickers, a neck strap, luggage tag, and novelty items from the ‘JAL Sky Series’.
Guests staying in the collaboration rooms can also avail a package that includes access to the ‘Izumi Tenku no Yu Haneda Airport’ natural hot spring. Room rates start from 46,700 yen for double occupancy. Reservations for the collaboration rooms will begin from 9 a.m. on January 13.
