JR East to Open ‘Kamitokoro Station’ on March 15, 2025
Sumitomo Mitsui Card subsidiary SMBC Finance Services will end new applications for certain cards as of January 25, 2024.
The affected cards include OMC Card, OMC GOLD Card, Sedina Card, Sedina GOLD Card, Sedina PLATINUM Card, and Sedina Jiyu!da! Card. The Hello Kitty design versions of these cards will also be discontinued.
The company is set to merge with Sumitomo Mitsui Card on April 1, and the abovementioned cards will be rebranded with the Sumitomo Mitsui Card name. The Sedina app will transition to the Vpass app. Sedina Cards are currently popular among travelers for their benefits, such as no overseas ATM fees for cash withdrawals abroad and the ability to repay via Pay-easy.
