Mitsui O.S.K. Lines’ Sunflower ferries will be conducting a ‘Sunflower Ferry Inaugural Anniversary Super Price Sale’ on February 1st across three routes.
The sale commemorates the 52nd anniversary of the inaugural voyage of the first ‘Sunflower’, which sailed on February 1, 1972.
The routes eligible for the special sale are the Osaka-Beppu/Shibushi and Kobe-Oita routes. The sale applies to departures on the same day, with the standard round-trip fare set at 7,000 yen. This represents a discount of 5,000 yen for passenger fares and 10,000 yen for vehicle fares.
The dinner buffet will feature limited-time dishes such as ‘Scallop Sashimi’, ‘Deep-fried Monkfish’, and ‘Genghis Khan’, which are all specialties of Hokkaido and Ibaraki Prefecture. Onboard events will include music and performances, and guests will receive a commemorative boarding certificate. Commemorative ship stamps will also be available for purchase.
