JR Central Tours will start offering the ticketless ‘EX Travel Pack Day Trip Plan’ and ‘Platt Kodama’ from 10 a.m. on February 1st.
In addition to establishing the new ‘EX Travel Pack Day Trip Plan’ that allows for changes to bullet train reservations even on the day of travel, the ‘Platt Kodama’, which enables smooth ticketless boarding, will be offered starting with journeys from March 1st.
The ‘EX Travel Pack Day Trip Plan’ includes round-trip bullet train reserved seats and a ‘Flexible Journey – Choice of Experience Coupons’ package, with options for destinations like Tokyo, Yokohama, Shizuoka, Nagoya, Kyoto, and Osaka. Applications can be made until 9 p.m. the day before departure, and changes to the train schedule can be made any number of times for free. This product is being sold for departures until March 31st, and for departures from April onwards sales will start in mid-February.
‘Platt Kodama’ is a package that comes with a one-way Kodama bullet train reserved seat and a beverage voucher. It is available for travel between stations including Tokyo, Shinagawa, Shin-Yokohama, Shizuoka, Hamamatsu, Nagoya, Kyoto, and Shin-Osaka. Please note there is no service between Tokyo/Shinagawa and Shin-Yokohama, Shizuoka and Hamamatsu, or Kyoto and Shin-Osaka. Applications can be made from one month before the travel date from 10 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. the day before. Seat selection is available from the seat map, and changes are possible. The service supports ticketless travel with ticket collection available at vending machines, and the beverage voucher will be provided as an electronic ticket.
