Emirates is set to double its premium economy class service on the Dubai-Melbourne route.
Starting from February 1, the service will be available on EK408/409 flights as well. It initiated services on EK406/407 flights from April 2023, making it available on two round trips per day. The service is operated with the four-class Airbus A380 aircraft.
The seating is arranged in a “2-4-2” configuration, with 56 seats located in the front section of the lower deck. The seat pitch can reach up to 40 inches, with a seat width of 19.5 inches. The seats are made of cream-colored stain-resistant leather with stitched design, similar to the business class’s wood panel finish. It also features a 13.3-inch monitor, a headrest and footrest that can adjust in six directions, a leg rest, a dining table and a cocktail table with a wood finish, an AC power outlet, and two USB power sockets. It is also possible to connect to the monitor via Bluetooth.
