China Airlines has resumed its operations on the Toyama-Taipei/Taoyuan route starting January 31st.
As a charter flight, it operates on Wednesdays and Saturdays until March 30th, using Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The service had been suspended since March 2020 due to the effects of COVID-19. Charter flights are also being operated in the spring and fall of 2023.
On February 1st, to promote early resumption of regular flights and attract customers, an exchange meeting was held in Taipei City. This meeting discussed the current situation of the Noto Peninsula earthquake, efforts for promoting use, and hosted an event introducing tourist spots within the prefecture.
