Seibu Railway will operate the ‘Blissful 52-Seat Cherry Blossom Viewing Train’ on March 28.
There will be two courses: the ‘Early Lunch Course’ departs from Seibu Shinjuku Station at 11:09 AM, passes through Hanno Station, and arrives at Ikebukuro Station at 1:45 PM. The ‘Late Lunch Course’ departs from Ikebukuro Station at 2:17 PM, passes through Hanno Station again, and arrives back at Seibu Shinjuku Station at 4:32 PM. The train will slow down at three famous cherry blossom spots: the cherry blossoms along the Shakuji River near Musashi-Seki Station, Inariyama Park, and the Iruma River Bridge, allowing passengers to enjoy the view.
The menu includes the regular brunch course, plus a welcome drink inspired by cherry blossoms and a sakura roll cake. Passengers will also receive an original stamp card featuring images of cherry blossoms in full bloom, and the tables and other decorations will be adorned with cherry blossoms.
The price is 12,000 yen (tax included) per person, and it can be reserved for groups of 2 to 4 people. Reservations can be made through the website or by phone.
