Kokusai Kogyo, JCB (Japan Credit Bureau), Resc, and QUADRAC have announced the introduction of contactless payment options for three shuttle bus routes to Haneda Airport beginning February 9.
The new payment options will support five brands: JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, and China Union Pay. The routes include buses from Ikebukuro, Urawa, and Omiya to Haneda Airport, as well as vehicles on the Gotemba Premium Outlet line and the Musashi-Urawa, Ikebukuro to Tokyo Disney Resort line. The latter route will start accepting contactless payments from March 1.
With the new system, passengers can pay their fares by simply tapping their contactless-enabled cards or smartphones on the payment terminals when getting on and off the bus.
