Thai AirAsia has announced the opening of its new route from Okinawa/Naha to Bangkok/Don Mueang starting April 2nd.
The service will operate four times weekly, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, utilizing the Airbus A320neo equipped with 186 economy class seats.
Currently, there are no flights operating between Okinawa/Naha and Bangkok. Before the spread of COVID-19, Peach Aviation was operating this route.
Santisuk Klongchaiya, CEO, said, “For Thai travellers, Japan has always been a popular destination, and likewise, Thailand remains a favored travel destination for the Japanese. Based on this strong demand, Thai AirAsia will now operate direct flights to Okinawa for the first time. Since relaunching the Fukuoka route in October 2022 following the pandemic, this becomes the second Japanese route operated by Thai AirAsia. We hope this new route will become the best option for both Thai and Japanese travellers.”
To celebrate the launch, a commemorative fare sale will run until February 21st. One-way tickets are priced at 13,990 yen, which includes taxes and fuel surcharges. The boarding period is from April 2nd to October 26th.
