AirAsia is set to launch a route from Kota Kinabalu to Shanghai/Pudong on February 20.
The service will operate three round trips per week, with flights from Kota Kinabalu on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and from Shanghai/Pudong on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
AirAsia has positioned Kota Kinabalu as its second hub, operating 19 domestic and international routes from it. Among these, six routes serve between Kota Kinabalu and mainland China, linking Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing, and Wuhan.
