
JR West to Operate Direct Trains from Shin-Osaka to Sakurajima Station for Expo Access Route
JR West announced the selling status of reserved seats for the first train of the Hokuriku Shinkansen, which will start operating between Kanazawa and Tsuruga stations on March 16.
As of 11:00 AM today, February 16, the “Tsurugi No. 1” train from Kanazawa Station to Tsuruga Station sold out in about 1 minute, the “Kagayaki No. 501” train from Tokyo Station to Tsuruga Station sold out in about 4 minutes, and the “Kagayaki No. 502” train from Tsuruga Station to Tokyo Station also sold out in about 4 minutes.
The “Kagayaki” service has 18 Gran Class seats, 63 Green Car reserved seats, and 833 ordinary car reserved seats. The “Tsurugi” service is equipped with 18 Gran Class seats, 63 Green Car reserved seats, 687 ordinary car reserved seats, and 146 non-reserved seats in ordinary cars, totalling 914 seats. Both services operate with a 12-car trainset of either the W7 or E7 series.
