Emirates Airlines will resume flights between Dubai and Adelaide starting October 28 with one round trip per day.
The flights will be operated using Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, equipped with 38 business class seats and 264 economy class seats, totaling 302 seats.
Flights departing Adelaide are anticipated for passengers traveling to or from major European cities such as London, Rome, Dubai, Paris, Amsterdam, Manchester, while flights arriving in Adelaide are expected to cater to passengers from cities including London, Manchester, Dubai, Birmingham. The layover times between major European cities are aimed to be less than four hours.
Emirates Airlines launched the Dubai-Adelaide route in 2012 and transported over 165,000 passengers in 2019. With the increase to two daily flights on the Dubai-Perth route from December 1, Emirates’ Australian operations will return to pre-COVID levels with 77 flights per week, expected to generate AUD 160 million in tourism revenue and freight for South Australia.
