Etihad Airways has made it possible for pilots to operate both the Airbus A350 and Airbus A380 aircraft.
Although it is usually restricted to operating only one type of aircraft, it has now become possible to operate both types upon obtaining regulatory approval and undergoing training, enhancing the network’s resilience, flexibility, and efficiency.
Under certain conditions, such as similarities in the cockpit, operational procedures, and special training, a dedicated program approved by the aircraft manufacturer and the civil aviation authority can be utilized. Similar approvals have already been acquired for the Airbus A320 and Airbus A330, Airbus A330 and Airbus A350, and the Boeing 777 and Boeing 787.
