JR East to Operate Overnight Trains on 7 Lines in the Tokyo Area from New Year’s Eve to New Year’s Day
JR East Celebrates the 120th Anniversary of Ryogoku Station with a Special Commemorative Train Service
JR East will operate a commemorative train service on March 23rd to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the opening of Ryogoku Station.
Departing from track 3 of Ryogoku Station, the service will run to the Makuhari Vehicle Center with a four-car E131 series formation. Visitors at the Makuhari Vehicle Center can enjoy viewing a vehicle wash from inside the train and take photos in the repair depot. The train accommodates 15 passengers per car. Original souvenirs will also be available.
The event will take place from 1:30 PM to approximately 5:00 PM. Tickets are priced at 12,000 yen and can be purchased from JRE MALL.
