Ogasawara Kaiun Launches a 23-Night and 24-Day Trip to Ogasawara, Departs May 8
Ogasawara Kaiun is offering the “Become an Islander: A 23-Night, 24-Day Journey to Ogasawara 2024”, taking advantage of the docking period of the Ogasawara Maru.
The journey departs from Tokyo’s Takeshiba Pier at 11:00 am on May 8, arriving at Futami Port on Chichijima Island at 11:00 am the following day, May 9. Guests will enjoy 23 consecutive nights on Chichijima until the departure date of May 30. The return journey to Tokyo’s Takeshiba Pier is scheduled for May 31 at 3:00 pm. It should be noted that the Ogasawara Maru will be docking after the departure on May 9, making it impossible to return to the mainland until the departure on May 30.
Accommodation options include a selection from five facilities on Chichijima, such as ocean view apartments and the Ogasawara Diving Center. The travel package price, including roundtrip ferry fare between Tokyo and Chichijima (using a second-class Japanese-style room), accommodation fees, and fuel surcharges, starts from 185,000 yen for a shared bathroom and toilet type ocean view apartment, 210,000 yen for a private bathroom and toilet type, and 260,000 yen for single occupancy at the Ogasawara Diving Center.
In announcing the tour, Ogasawara Kaiun stated, “As this tour takes place during the Ogasawara Maru’s docking period, there will be no means to return to the mainland during the tour. We ask those who might need to return suddenly to refrain from applying and look forward to welcoming you on another tour in the future.” The application period is from February 19 to April 24.
