Uber Launches ‘Uber Premium’ in Osaka City
Uber Starts Offering Reservation Service for Haneda and Narita Airport Rides
Uber Japan has started offering a reservation feature through the ride-hailing app ‘Uber’ as of February 29th.
Reservations for the premium vehicle service ‘Uber Premium,’ which operates to and from Narita and Haneda airports, can now be made up to 90 days in advance. It is also possible to specify a large wagon for an additional vehicle designation fee of ¥1,080. The driver will be confirmed the day before the ride, and the estimated time of arrival will be displayed on the app before the scheduled reservation time.
Prices start from ¥7,200 to ¥12,200 for rides to and from Haneda airport and from ¥25,400 to ¥28,400 for rides to and from Narita airport. A late-night/early-morning surcharge applies for rides between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
While Haneda Airport and the four wards of Minato, Chuo, Meguro, and Koto are outside the fixed fare area, a predetermined fare will be charged. Rides between Haneda Airport and the wards of Shinagawa and Ota are excluded from this scheme.
