JTB (Japan Travel Bureau) has started accepting reservations for the ‘Hokuriku Support Discount’.
On JTB’s website and through Rurubu Travel, the offer is available for stays in Niigata and Toyama prefectures. It is not available in stores or call centers.
In Fukui Prefecture’s stores, the offer is exclusively for trips that include stays in Fukui Prefecture. Sales begin on March 8 at the Fukui Elpa store and on March 9 at the Fukui store.
The ‘Hokuriku Support Discount’ is a travel support initiative targeting Fukui, Ishikawa, Toyama, and Niigata prefectures, which were affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake. It provides subsidies for stays from March 16 to April 26 (with checkout the following day).
The discount rate is equivalent to 50% of the travel expenses. The maximum discount amounts to 20,000 yen for a standalone stay and travel package, 30,000 yen for a travel package with stays of 2 nights or more, and 35,000 yen for a travel package that includes stays in two or more prefectures. The campaign is open to both domestic travelers and visitors to Japan, excluding business trips and accommodations booked before the campaign start date.
