Japan Travel will start selling the ‘Hokuriku Support Discount’ from March 8.
This offer will be available for Toyama and Niigata prefectures, starting at 11 am on the website and from 4 pm in stores. It targets members of Japan Travel who reside in Japan. The eligible icon is displayed on the plan detail screen.
The ‘Hokuriku Support Discount’ is a travel support initiative for the prefectures of Fukui, Ishikawa, Toyama, and Niigata, which were affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake. It provides subsidies for stays between March 16 and April 26 (checkout on the next day).
The discount rate corresponds to 50% of the travel cost. The maximum discount is 20,000 yen for standalone stays and travel with transportation, 30,000 yen for travel with transportation that includes two or more nights, and 35,000 yen for circuit tours that involve staying in two or more prefectures. It targets domestic travel and inbound tourists, excluding business trips and stays, and reservations made before the initiative starts.
