IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a contract with the King Abdullah Financial District Management & Development (KAFD DMC) to open two hotels.
In the heart of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the approximately 1.6 square kilometer mixed business district being developed by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), the ‘Regent Riyadh KAFD’ and ‘InterContinental Riyadh KAFD’ are scheduled to open in 2027.
The ‘Regent Riyadh KAFD’ will be the first Regent brand facility in Riyadh, offering 250 rooms. It will also feature luxurious fitness facilities, a Regent Spa, a grand ballroom, and meeting rooms.
The ‘InterContinental Riyadh KAFD’ will have 400 rooms, five food and beverage outlets and two specialty restaurants, meeting facilities, a fitness center, a spa, and a swimming pool.
IHG Hotels & Resorts operates 43 properties under 6 brands in Saudi Arabia. It plans to open 32 more hotels within the next five years. In 2024, it will open the ‘Kimpton at KAFD’ in KAFD.
