JTB (Japan Travel Bureau) will start accepting reservations for Ishikawa Prefecture’s ‘Hokuriku Support Discount’ on its website from noon on March 14.
JTB’s website and Tl Travel will handle the sales. Sales for Niigata and Toyama prefectures have already started from noon on March 12. In Fukui Prefecture, sales are conducted at stores for travels that include stays only within Fukui Prefecture.
The ‘Hokuriku Support Discount’ is a travel support initiative for Fukui, Ishikawa, Toyama, and Niigata prefectures affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake. It applies to stays from March 16 to April 26 (with checkout the following day), providing subsidies.
The discount rate is equivalent to 50% of the travel cost. The maximum discount amount is 20,000 yen for single stays and stays with transportation, 30,000 yen for stays with transportation lasting two or more nights, and 35,000 yen for circulating travel staying in two or more prefectures. It is targeted at domestic travelers and visitors to Japan, excluding business-related travel, stays, and reservations made before the start of the offer.
