Two Passengers of Etihad Airways Develop Measles on Flight to Kansai Airport on February 23
According to announcements from Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Osaka Prefecture, two passengers on the Etihad Airways Flight 830 from Abu Dhabi to Osaka/Kansai, dated February 23, developed measles.
One of the passengers, a man in his twenties, was announced by Osaka Prefecture on March 1. He developed symptoms on February 20, and after arriving at Kansai International Airport on February 24, he used a toilet near the international arrivals gate, as well as the Nankai Line and a supermarket in Rinku Town.
Furthermore, a woman in her twenties developed symptoms on March 7. On the same day, she traveled from Shin-Osaka Station to Shinagawa Station on the “Nozomi 24” Shinkansen and visited a restaurant in Ginza’s Corridor Street.
