JTB (Japan Travel Bureau) will start accepting reservations for Ishikawa Prefecture’s ‘Hokuriku Support Discount’ on its website starting from March 14 at 1:00 PM. The start time was initially planned for noon but has been changed.
The discount will be sold through JTB’s website and the travel service “Rurubu Travel.” Sales have already started from noon on March 12 for Niigata and Toyama prefectures. In Fukui prefecture, it’s sold only for trips that include accommodations exclusively within Fukui at local agencies.
The ‘Hokuriku Support Discount’ is a travel aid implemented for Fukui, Ishikawa, Toyama, and Niigata prefectures, which were affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake. The support is implemented for stays from March 16 to April 26 (with checkout the following day).
The discount rate is 50% of the travel expenses. The maximum discount is 20,000 yen for a single stay or a travel package with transportation, 30,000 yen for a travel package with transportation that includes two or more nights, and 35,000 yen for a tour that includes stays in two or more prefectures. The discount applies to domestic travelers and visitors to Japan, but business trips and accommodations, as well as reservations made before the start of the offer, are excluded.
