Hong Kong Express Airways inaugurated its Hong Kong to Beijing/Daxing route on March 12, offering one round trip per day.
The inaugural flight carried 40 teachers and elementary school students from the Lam’s Foundation and approximately 60 teachers from the Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers on a training trip to deepen their understanding of Mainland China.
Beijing Daxing International Airport, which opened in 2019, is located 50 kilometers from the center of Beijing and 80 kilometers from Tianjin. It is accessible via a new expressway, two subways, and a high-speed rail, and features four runways along with retail, dining, and service facilities covering 52,000 square meters.
