Delta Airlines has entered into an official airline contract with professional golfer Yuri Yoshida.
Yoshida started golfing at the age of 10 and joined the national team in 2016 during her first year at Reitaku High School in Chiba. In 2023, she clinched her third victory at the “World Ladies Salonpas Cup,” marking her first domestic major triumph. She earned her spot in the US Women’s Tour in the final qualifying round in December 2023.
Delta Airlines will support Yoshida’s travels as she has won her spot in the US Women’s Tour. As a brand ambassador for Delta Airlines, Yoshida will wear apparel featuring the Delta Airlines logo on the back and participate in campaigns and promotional activities.
Victor Osumi, President of Delta Airlines in Japan, stated, “At Delta Airlines, we support Japanese athletes who play a vital role in connecting Japan and the US. With this contract, we hope to support Yoshida in her US Women’s Tour challenge by providing a wide network of routes and premium experiences in the sky, enabling her to fully demonstrate her abilities in the US.”
Yoshida commented, “I am very happy to receive support from Delta Airlines as the official airline. It is an honor to fight alongside a strong partner as I mainly compete in the American tour, and I am very excited! With Delta Airlines’ support, I will work hard to achieve results in America this year!”
Delta Airlines also serves as the official airline for professional skateboarder Yuto Horigome, professional surfer Kanoa Igarashi, and professional golfers Hiroyuki Fujita and Katsumasa Miyamoto, who are scheduled to compete in the PGA TOUR Champions.
