AirAsia X and Thai AirAsia have announced the launch of three new routes between Japan and Taiwan using fifth freedom rights.
AirAsia X will operate a daily roundtrip flight on the Tokyo/Narita to Taipei/Taoyuan route starting May 31. This service will use an Airbus A330 aircraft configured with up to 377 seats.
Thai AirAsia will commence daily roundtrip flights from Okinawa/Naha to Taipei/Taoyuan on June 15 and four weekly roundtrip flights (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday) from Tokyo/Narita to Kaohsiung starting June 16. These flights will be operated using an Airbus A320 aircraft with 180 economy class seats.
