United Airlines has launched a new feature called “Mileage Pooling,” which allows family and friends to share miles.
MileagePlus members over the age of 18 can become pool leaders and create a pool, inviting up to four people. A maximum of five people can share and exchange miles through one linked account. This feature is designed with family and group trips in mind, allowing them to collectively save miles for family vacations or group travels.
Sharing miles in a mileage pool does not affect the individual member’s status.
