ANA Continues ‘Star Wars’ Themed Jets through the Summer Schedule, Featuring ‘R2-D2’ and ‘C-3PO’
All Nippon Airways (ANA) announced that it would continue to operate two “STAR WARS JET” special livery planes as part of its project with the ‘Star Wars’ movie series, during the summer schedule beginning March 31.
The operation plan posted on the special website has been updated until October 26. The ‘R2-D2 ANA JET’ (Boeing 787-9, registration number: JA873A) is deployed on international routes including Tokyo/Narita to Los Angeles, Brussels, Hanoi, Hangzhou, and Tokyo/Haneda to Washington, Los Angeles, Houston, Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, Vienna, Shanghai/Pudong, Guangzhou. The ‘C-3PO ANA JET’ (Boeing 777-200, registration number: JA743A) mainly operates on domestic flights departing from and arriving in Tokyo/Haneda.
The ‘R2-D2 ANA JET’ started operations on October 18, 2015, and the ‘C-3PO ANA JET’ on March 21, 2017.
