IHG Hotels & Resorts has entered into a management contract with Samty to open ‘voco Hiroshima’ in the second half of 2027.
The hotel will feature 301 rooms. The hotel and its vicinity are set to include meeting spaces, a bustling area with waiting spaces near bus stops, and temporary refuge places for people unable to return home, having obtained approval for a Minister-certified development project for private sector induction facilities. Located on the former Saikoku Kaido, known as one of the highways during the Edo period, the hotel’s design will integrate the region’s history as part of the city development of the Hiroshima Station South Exit area, creating a space that reminds visitors of the Saikoku Kaido.
Access is approximately a 4-minute walk from JR Hiroshima Station, and within walking distance from the Atomic Bomb Dome and the commercial center of Hiroshima city.
The premium brand ‘voco’ will mark its second entry into Japan following Osaka. The hotel will offer experiences such as welcome treats inspired by the hotel’s location and idiosyncrasy, guest rooms where visitors can relax away from the daily hustle and bustle, and social interactions in vibrant restaurants, cafes & bars.
