Thai Airways Increases Flights Between Tokyo/Narita and Bangkok/Suvarnabhumi to Three Round Trips Per Day, Establishing Five Daily Round Trips Between Tokyo and Bangkok
Thai Airways has increased its flights on the Tokyo/Narita to Bangkok/Suvarnabhumi route to three round trips per day, starting from March 31.
The additional flights are TG641, departing from Tokyo/Narita at 10:50 AM and arriving in Bangkok/Suvarnabhumi at 3:20 PM, and TG640, departing from Bangkok/Suvarnabhumi at 10:10 PM and arriving in Tokyo/Narita the next day at 6:20 AM. Both flights are resuming operations for the first time in four years, since their suspension in April 2020.
The aircraft used will be either the Airbus A330-300, configured with 31 Royal Silk Class seats and 262 Economy Class seats, totaling 293 seats, or the Airbus A350-900, configured with 32 Royal Silk Class seats and 288 Economy Class seats, totaling 320 seats.
To celebrate the resumption of service, a commemorative event was held for the departure of TG641 from Tokyo/Narita. Passengers were presented with Thai Airways original ecobags, Bangkok maps, notepads, and pens sponsored by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, as well as shopping coupons for the Central Department Store in Bangkok. In-flight meals included special desserts, with sakura (cherry blossom) cake offered in Royal Silk Class and limited-edition design cookies in Economy Class.
Currently, two round trips per day are being operated, departing from Tokyo/Narita during the day and evening, and from Bangkok/Suvarnabhumi late at night and early morning, with this addition increasing it to three round trips.
