Japanese Government Initiates Short-Term Visa Exemption for Panamanian Nationals
The Japanese government has started a short-term visa exemption for Panamanian nationals from April 1.
The exemption applies to Panamanian nationals with IC ordinary passports for stays of up to 90 days. It was announced by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tsukasa Teru, at the 120th Anniversary Reception of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Panama held on January 10, and was put into practice following the visit by Minister for Foreign Affairs, Takashi Uekawa, to President Cortizo of the Republic of Panama on February 23. During the visit, President Cortizo expressed his gratitude to Minister Uekawa for introducing this visa exemption measure.
The Panamanian government will continue its existing visa exemption measures for Japanese nationals.
