Air New Zealand is temporarily suspending its Auckland-Chicago route.
The suspension is due to issues with the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines on its Boeing 787 aircraft, which have resulted in up to three airplanes being unable to operate for an extended period. The suspension will last from March 31 to October 25.
Air New Zealand will continue to operate up to 35 round trips a week to six airports in the United States and Canada. For those who have booked, the airline will offer alternatives and accept refunds.
