JTB Adds More Deals to Niigata Prefecture’s ‘Hokuriku Support Discount’ – Airfare & Rail + Accommodation Only
JTB (Japan Travel Bureau) has started additional sales through its website for the ‘Hokuriku Support Discount’ in Niigata Prefecture, beginning April 9.
The sale on JTB’s website includes tours with airfare and rail plus accommodation. Additional sales for accommodation only restarted on April 5 and are already sold out.
The ‘Hokuriku Support Discount’ is a travel aid for those affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake, targeting Fukui, Ishikawa, Toyama, and Niigata prefectures. It offers subsidies for stays from March 16 to April 26 (checking out the next day). The discount is equivalent to 50% of the travel price. The discount limit is 20,000 yen for both standalone accommodation and accommodation with transport, 30,000 yen for accommodation with transport for stays of two nights or more, and 35,000 yen for circuit-style travel involving stays in two or more prefectures. The subsidy is aimed at domestic tourists and visitors to Japan, excluding business-related travel and accommodation, and bookings made before the start of the offer.
