Japan Airlines (JAL) will implement a codeshare operation with American Airlines for the Tokyo/Haneda to New York/John F. Kennedy route, which American Airlines will inaugurate on June 28.
The service will operate round trip once a day using a Boeing 777-200ER. The operation schedule departs Tokyo/Haneda at 4:30 PM, arriving at New York/John F. Kennedy at 4:35 PM on the same day. The return flight departs New York/John F. Kennedy at 11:25 AM, arriving in Tokyo/Haneda at 2:30 PM the next day.
This will enable JAL and American Airlines to operate the route three times a day, with departures from Tokyo/Haneda in the noon, afternoon, and night and from New York/John F. Kennedy in the morning, afternoon, and late night.
Both airlines will operate from Terminal 8 at New York/John F. Kennedy, offering smooth connections to domestic destinations in the United States and various locations in Central and South America. The reservation and sale of codeshare flights will begin on April 14.
